Giving Thanks To God - Making Changes - Thanksgiving
(God Through Anne Terri With The Holy Spirit)
1. For many in the United States of America, it is Thanksgiving Day.
2. A day to commemorate an event so long ago; which is more legend than truth.
3. A feast in Plymouth colony, a pilgrim's feast.
4. Yes there were Indians, but depending on who tells the story, pilgrim or Indian, the perspective changes.
5. In the beginning they were taught what to plant, and helped through a harsh winter, for they had no time to plant their crops.
6. History has a way of tainting many facts.
7. I Ask you to read a part of the story, The Real Story Of Thanksgiving, written by Susan Bates of Manataka American Indian Council
8. But first, Give Thanks for your Blessings.
9. Look closer; if you are Blessed this day, to be eating roast turkey with stuffing, yams, mashed potatoes, a green vegetable, baked breads, and pumpkin pie, just to name a few of the traditional foods, then you are fortunate.
10. This year, many of your neighbors went bankrupt, lost their jobs, or found their paychecks to be less than what they needed to pay bills.
11. This year, others are canceling their health insurance, for the yearly costs have once more gone up by a severe percentage, and have become insurmountable.
12. Not only in the United States of America, but throughout the world, the economic situation is grim.
13. It all began with greed, as with biting the hand that fed your ancestors, and to this day, the American Indian is still treated without respect.
14. It is time for change.
15. Thank Me, Thank God, for all you have.
16. It is time to begin anew, giving back to those who do not.
17. AMEN''
