 It started with this picture and it started with this e-mail.... I stared at the e-mail and I read it again...... 2 thoughts popped into my head...'Wow... God really likes my work!' and 'I AM on the RIGHT path...I DID read the signs correctly!' Then I burst into tears. Could be a scene from Bridget Jones's Diary...Feeling Joyful The amazing thing about this e-mail, it came at a time when I needed it the most. I just moved from Dallas, TX to Portland, OR. Things were looking kind of bleak and I felt lost. Things were not happening as I thought it should or as fast as it should. I was starting to question my decisions. Right now...I am telling you the middle of the journey but like every good journey, there is a beginning. My journey began when I started to 'wake up'. To be continued......

E-MAILS FROM GOD - THE CHECKLIST
by Carol GildenBefore I take a trip, I always do my checklist. I make sure that I have everything that I need for my journey. My keys are in my purse, the cats have all their food and water while I am gone. All the things that need to be done before you embark on your adventure to be. Today, right now, I am getting ready to take a look at my spiritual journey. The journey that is still going on right now…today. In order to see where you are going, you have to look at where you’ve been. I love this statement because it describes the journey that all of us takes, no matter what category that we fall under. It is all those shifts in our lives that makes us the person that we are today, here and now. Why am I doing this? To be honest with you, I really don’t know except that I ‘feel’ compelled to do so. I am just an ordinary person telling you about an extraordinary journey that I AM traveling. Amazing places I have seen and people that I have met along the way. I hope that my story can help you and that ALL of us can make it through the challenges that we face from day to day. God provides us with what we need when we need it the most even if we fail to recognize it at the time. It is about hope and love. Integrity is an important key element of who I am. I am not proud of all my actions that I have made in this life. I do believe that in order to grow, you have to look at your mistakes and learn from them. Before I start my ‘inner’ journey, I want to thank all those who are my spiritual teachers and guides along my way. Without your insight and your experience, you gave me the tools to avoid the potholes along the way. You helped me pull through the accidents that came my way. I will be sharing your wisdom with others so it will help them liked it helped me. My biggest ‘thank you’ is to God who blesses and guides me ‘gently’ along the way. I know that God will be in this process with me. I also know that God will comment and continue to teach me as I write. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

When your mind is active during your inner journey, you may hear Spiritual messages trying to emerge within you at the same time. This is when you silence yourself, take deep breaths and listen.

AMEN''E-MAILS FROM GOD - The ABC’s by Carol Gilden[/b] Why do I like this statement so much? Because it describes how I was as a child and continue to be at this very moment. Looking back at my childhood I was very blessed. My mother is French and my father is an American. I have a brother who is 6 years younger than me. I was raised an Air Force brat and grew primarily outside the United States. I was able to experience different cultures and people. It was a great way to grow up! One of my memories as a very little girl was of Halloween in Colorado. My parents, brother and I went to trick or treat in the evening. I remember the white snow and how cold it was. I remember going home to eat my candy but there was nothing in the paper bag because I had dragged it on the wet snow. I am sure there were lots of happy kids eating the candy that was left behind…Feeling Joyful When I was about 6 or 7, the whole family moved to England because my father was sent there for the Air Force. Every summer, we used to travel across the channel to France where my parents left us with my grandmother and aunt in a small town called Puiseaux. I loved going to France, some of my best memories are there. I remember the early mornings when I would listen from my bed to my mom and grandmother talking about what was going on. I loved listening to the French, my grandmother didn’t speak English but I knew French. My parents would stay for a couple of days and then head out on their own vacation while my aunt and grandmother would watch over us. Once the parents were away, the children did play…Feeling Joyful I loved the house that my aunt and grandmother lived in. They grew their own vegetables and fruit in the backyard. I used to pick fresh cherries from the tree in the back. I used to play tricks on my grandmother. One time, I locked her out of the house, my brother and I laughed at her while we were looking out the window. I was a little trouble maker to say the least…it seems like some things do not change even to this day. Mother used to take us to the Catholic mass. I loved Mary and still do. I loved her serene and beautiful face that we would see on the statues. I loved the story of St. Bernadette and Mary in Lourdes. I wanted to meet Mary and talk to her just like Bernadette did. My parents even went to Lourdes and brought us back holy water. Don’t ask me why, I don’t even understand it myself…I decided to drink the holy water. I was an unusual child. I loved God but I didn’t like Jesus very much. The priest used to tell us that in order to get to God…you had to go through Jesus. That didn’t seem very fair to me. What if you had not heard or believe in Jesus? Did that mean all those people were going to hell? According to the Catholic church …they were. That to me, did not sound like a God of love. That my friends, was the beginning of my separation from the Catholic church and Jesus. MILESTONES: An event or events that shaped my life. I was going to catch the school bus that was across the street from our house. I was hit by a car as I was running to make sure that I made the bus on time. I remember thinking that I was not going to die and got on the school bus anyway. The woman that had hit me figured out where I had come from and notified my mother. My mother in turn went to my school and picked me up. There were no broken bones but I was sore. There is a scar from that incident that is a reminder that God was looking out for me that day. Carol, you must stop making Anne cry. And now My Son Jesus too? I Love you Carol, for you did not understand, The New Testament was not written exactly as I Taught many of the Lessons through him.
To make matters worse, much of it was later embellished, and fell prey to poor translations.
If this were so, that the only way to get to Heaven was through Jesus, then no other Religion except for Christianity would ever be allowed to live there.
Carol, Anne's daughter was hit by a pickup truck getting off a school bus, right next to the United Methodist Church. Anne knows I Saved her also. Bless you, and your story is now a part of The Third Testament.
