Time Line Between 1 Samuel 16 and 17 (God Through Anne Terri With The Holy Spirit:)
1. In 1 Samuel 17, the story is told of how David slew Goliath.
2. At this time, Saul does not know who this Servant is who fights the giant, and asked the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth?(1 Sam 17:52-58)
3. Yet in 1 Samuel 16:14-23, the story of Saul sending to Jesse for David, who comes and plays for him his harp, is told before the battle with Goliath.
4.The two chapters are in reverse out of time line.
