THE PIGEON WHO DROPPED IN (God Through Carlo Ferdinando and Anne Terri With The Holy Spirit)
Speedy the dog barked at the closed terrace door.
Carlo went to see what was the matter and there he saw a pigeon standing. Speedy does not bark at the birds who generally visit the roof terrace to forage for food. This is a unique terrace, for it is tucked in between two roofs. There is often scattered seed there for those who come.
This time Carlo realized this was not normal for she was not scared or trying to fly away, when approached. He alerted Anne Terri, who scattered food from the window as not to cause her be frightened.
The pigeon was brought by Me to them for care, but it had to be special care, so as not to bring any problems to their indoor birds.
The pigeon literally fell out of the sky for she can no longer fly. Anne filled a food dish with seed and another with water, placing it by the overhang, in case it rained. It was noted that when trying to fly, she could not lift off, but there are no signs of injuries.
She came to sleep by the terrace door when night fell, and Carlo thought she would not make it through the night. Her named her 'Martian'.
This morning she was still by the terrace door, but had begun to explore again, and had eaten of the most select seeds from her cup, to which Anne just added more. A perch made from a local tree limb was placed between the fence and the grape vine basket near her food. It is possible she may perch for the night before she had perched just under the terrace table, having achieved a small lift of just six inches.
To be continued.

THE PIGEON WHO DROPPED IN CONTINUED
(God Through Carlo Ferdinando and Anne Terri With The Holy Spirit)
Yesterday was a day of exploration for Anne and Carlo's guest, the pigeon he named Martian. Still no attempts to fly, but ate heartily.
Last night, at the dinner hour, as is tradition, Anne gave her indoor cockatiels a cracker for a snack. She opened a small window to the terrace and presented the pigeon with one of her own. This is not for total dietary needs, but only for a snack. All the birds in her home receive quality bird seed.
Fruits and vegetables are also recommended, but it is important not to give anything toxic to them. The list is below, for those who read Our story. Thank you about.com.
As the evening light fell to darkness, once more the pigeon slept near the terrace door. She was very active this morning, and was fed fresh food.
The pigeon perched under the table in the afternoon, and rain began to fall. Anne placed an umbrella over the table to keep her dry.

FOODS HARMFUL TO BIRDS
1. ChocolateChocolate is a wonderful treat to share with human family members, but it can be harmful or fatal to your pet bird. Chocolate poisoning first affects a bird's digestive system, causing vomiting and diarrhea. As the condition progresses, the bird's central nervous system is affected, first causing seizures and eventually death. 2. Apple SeedsBelieve it or not, apples - along with other members of the rose family including cherries, peaches, apricots, and pears - contain trace amounts of Cyanide within their seeds. While the fruit of the apple is fine for your bird, be aware that in addition to the poisonous seeds, there may be pesticides present on the fruit's skin. Be sure to thoroughly cleanse and core any apple pieces that you share with your bird to avoid exposure to these toxins. 3. AvocadoThe skin and pit of this popular fruit had been known to cause cardiac distress and eventual heart failure in pet bird species. Although there is some debate to the degree of toxicity of avocados, it is generally advised to adopt a "better safe than sorry" attitude toward them and keep guacomole and other avocado products as far away from pet birds as possible. 4. OnionsWhile the use of limited amounts of onion or garlic powders as flavorings is generally regarded as acceptable, excessive consumption of onions causes vomiting, diarrhea, and a host of other digestive problems. It has been found that prolonged exposure can lead to a blood condition called hemolytic anemia, which is followed by respiratory distress and eventual death. 5. AlcoholAlthough responsible bird owners would never dream of offering their pet an alcoholic drink, there have been instances in which free roaming birds have attained alcohol poisoning through helping themselves to unattended cocktails. Alcohol depresses the organ systems of birds and can be fatal. Make sure that your bird stays safe by securing him in his cage whenever alcohol is served in your home. 6. MushroomsMushrooms are a type of fungus, and have been known to cause digestive upset in companion birds. Caps and stems of some varieties can induce liver failure. 7. Tomato LeavesTomatoes, like potatoes and other nightshades, have a tasty fruit that is fine when used as a treat for your bird. The stems, vines, and leaves, however, are highly toxic to your pet. Make sure that any time you offer your bird a tomato treat it has been properly cleaned and sliced, with the green parts removed, so that your bird will avoid exposure to any toxins. 8. SaltWhile all living beings need regulated amounts of sodium in their systems, too much salt can lead to a host of health problems in birds, including excessive thirst, dehydration, kidney dysfunction, and death. Be sure to keep watch over the amount of salty foods your bird consumes.

SHE FLIES (God Through Carlo Ferdinando and Anne Terri With The Holy Spirit)
A Miracle of care, brings an injured pigeon to a healed state, and she flew in steps this day. Anne and Carlo captured this on camera.
Elated to see little Martian practicing by using her wings, and cleaning them for use, prompted them to watch for this journey home. As good food was presented, Our little pigeon, named Martian became stronger and began to test her wings. First Martian flew to the chair seat, then to the top of the chair and finally to the terrace stone ledge. One last good bye and a thank you from Our temporary guest, who flew away healthy.
