God's Movie Review: 'Surf's Up' (God Through Anne Terri With The Holy Spirit)
Surf's Up, the movie, holds a positive message for children. The film focuses on the lives of penguins who are avid surfers, always seeking to win the trophy for being the best. When the star surfer realizes he is aging, he knows the youth will win all the trophies. In an effort to save face, he purposely wipes out his self made surfboard, and never returns to the flock. He is thought by everyone to have drowned. His niece, a beautiful, young female penguin, knows the truth, and works for years, making the effort to bring him back to the sea.
The tide turns when a young surfer, who worships his dead idol finds out he actually knows him. The Big Z is alive! Does this seem like a positive message? No, but wait a minute. Sometimes it takes the youth to understand the reality of what is important in life.
Young Cody Maverick, thinking to win the trophy, in a memorial surfing contest, in honor of Big Z, finds through a series of false starts, that winning is not everything.
To avoid giving you the entire plot, this movie points the finger at what is wrong with the sporting events of humans.
The characters are bright, interesting and very enlightening. Animation at its best, carries the story forward to the ultimate Truth. Friends are more important than trophies.
AMEN''
