The Gospel of Messiah and Apostle/Healer Rev Colleen Etana -
Learning To Still The Mind
(God Speaking through Colleen Etana with The Holy Spirit)
- Wisdom is found within when one bothers to take the time to look and study oneself. To be the observer and be able to catch the patterns or internal dialog at it's game, then one can gently tell this little imp that it is no longer necessary to give comments from the peanut gallery and one should do this without arguing with or getting angry at the self.
- Do not fight the mind or you will become your own worst enemy.
- Be the Silent Watcher of the thoughts without engaging them through judgements, assigning them meaning or attaching and following them is the next step. What works for one may not work for another, yet this is a reference point where you can begin.
- A very effective technique to still the mind chatter is to catch repetitive thoughts, and divert one's attention onto the space between the eyes at the third eye every time, thereby retraining the mind to be silent. Taking your focus off the thoughts and placing it somewhere on the body where it is a silent area. It could be your heart space instead, you choose.
- If one has fearful thoughts of the unknown; write them down and then imagine a worse case scenario, dealing effectively with these concerns and eliminating them. Most are mentally creating scenarios that will never even occur. It is a great waste of energy to be caught up in the mind constantly which diverts necessary energy from your Soul depleting you.
- Another is that as the thought comes up, ask it "Then what do you suggest we do about it?" You will find most of the time it will not be able to come up with any real answers and will naturally fizzle out.
- Is the thought an old replay of your mother's criticism perhaps? Tell yourself to let it go. For the past is what you are recreating rather than the Now. Keep your focus on the present and keep refocusing as often as you need. Retrain your mind to serve you so it is not the other way around.
- For example, you are planning an outing next weekend and you find out it may rain that day. Do you let that spoil your mood and worry for days before the event or get an umbrella? Are you making mountains out of molehills?
- Tell that mountain to get out of your way by peacefully sending it packing.
- It is as performing psychic surgery to remove the belief systems and correct the thinking the illusions have over your minds. To pluck out these illusions from your psyche one by one is a worthy goal.
- Then one will eventually be able to enter into the Silence at will and only use the mind when it is necessary.
- AMEN"
