While editing my Dreams and Visions Received from God, in December 2007, to find the Transcripts to save to my external hard drive, I found a note I wrote based on a conversation I had with Jesus.
At this time, I realized part of our research had been Prompted Through God, this morning, when told to continue Our Work in December 2007. Below is where I found the note to do more research. I have little on the beginning of The Catholic Church. For as Carlo says, The Vatican is a territory.

When was the first Catholic Church built? Can you do research and find out?

I do not know what the first Church was built. The Vatican is not a Church but a territorial space, like Washington D.C., to make a parallel. It could be that the first churches were not really 'Church' in the meaning we give it nowadays, but more spaces to meet and mostly they were underground or secret. Probably the first official churches had been built in the time of Emperor Constantine. I'll try to make a search.
There are many things written about the beginning of the spreading of the Christian Faith and there were many directions where this Religious belief was going, not only the Roman way but also to the middle East and to north Africa, like Egypt and all the countries of the Mediterranean.
The word Church (Chiesa in Italian) derivates from the Greek ;
(Ecclesia or Ekklesia) and it means a congregation, or a assembly of people having the same idea. The word Ecclesia was used long before the time of Jesus, in Greece. In the beginning there was only the Christian Catholic Church.
Catholic meaning Universal
Universal assembly of people who believed in the doctrine taught by Jesus of Nazareth.
Because the first followers of Jesus were Jews, the meetings
were just like before, taking place in Synagogues, or in private homes, or anywhere where they could find a place to meet and to teach. There were not really special buildings built for the purpose of being" The House Of God", as they say nowadays.
As you say, there is no such thing as all the world is the House Of God.
Probably only in the third century AD, in the time of Constantino , the first public places were built and dedicated to the new Religion.
In the link I sent you there is a claim about the first church in the
world being found in Syria, but there is much critic about this finding. There is no real evidence and no logic in this finding , as I say the idea of Church ((Ecclesia)) is not a physical building but the idea of the followers of Jesus.

Huguenots were very critical of the doctrine and worship in the Catholic Church. This is based on the rituals involving the Sacrament. The Hugenots felt they were obsessed with death and the dead, as well as ritual being useless as far as images, Saints, pilgrimages, Prayers, and the hierarchy. The Huguenots believe in God, and rely on One God for Salvation.
