"June 22, 2013 God's Living Bible - The Third Testament - God's New Revelations - The Gospel of Messiah and Apostle Rev Colleen Etana - Practicing Detachment & Nonattachment
(God Working With Colleen Etana Through the Holy Spirit)
The Buddhists have a saying, "Emptiness in Compassion". (I put this into practice daily or whenever necessary.)
For me this means detaching from others emotions, gossip and their problems or issues while at the same time understanding what we're all going through and being able to empathise.
Knowing also when to move on, cut toxic people out of my life and do my best not to overreact emotionally but to learn self control or mastery over my own thoughts, emotions and let go of trying to control situations or being a doormat or people pleaser.
If people don't want our help, God Says, "Let them Be. AMEN"
Practice detachment and nonattachment to material items, ideas, preconceived notions about God perhaps or every thought that seems to come from within.
For only when we are calmly detached can we even begin to see with clarity whilst not allowing ourselves to be drawn into other's emotional chaos and being negatively affected by it ourselves.
There's another quote I've seen online which reads we should not be drawn into their battles but to instead draw them into our Peace.
I really like that quote.
AMEN"
